Computing machines, body and mind: metaphorical origins of mechanistic computationalism

The article presents preliminary results of the conceptual analysis mechanistic profile computer metaphor. Mechanic reductionism is a special direction metaphor rooted in various historical forms word usage. Here we trace stages formation principles transferring properties mechanical to human body and mind. We are also trying identify basic semantic transfer, which have survived this day discourse modern computationalism. reasons analyzed due «Human (body) machine», traditional for Modern Age, was transformed into more complex version «Mind machine». What happened concepts «mind» «machine»? How ideas about computational procedures changed? keeps counterintuitive viable today? answers series questions theoretical ways solving these problems contained paper.
